Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter has lost a battle for the fortune that the topless model claimed to have inherited from her late husband, oil billionaire J. Howard Marshall.
Representatives of three-year-old Dannielynn have been locked in a legal fight with Marshall’s family, who claim that the Texan tycoon was senile when, aged 89, he married Anna Nicole.
Anna Nicole herself went to court after Marshall’s death in 1995, claiming he promised to leave her £200million, even though his will made no mention of her.

After she died from a drug overdose in 2007 aged 39, her lawyers argued that the money should go to Dannielynn, who was fathered by one of her lovers, Larry Birkhead, 37.
But a federal court ruled on Friday night that Marshall intended to leave his entire fortune to Pierce Marshall, his son by an earlier marriage.

Pierce Marshall died in 2006. Under the court ruling, the money will now go to his widow, Elaine.
A source close to Birkhead said that he intends to continue the fight for Marshall’s millions on Dannielynn’s behalf.
